The following guides you how to lock application programs with RKUB
enabled, using the shell system. This can be done using ElecKey Integrator.
Also, refer to the ElecKey Integrator section for detailed information. If you
wish to lock application programs using the KeyCheck API, refer to the KeyCheck
API reference for detailed information about the functions.
Recall that ElecKey utilizes only the Harddisk Key. When the end-user
runs the protected program for the first time, the Harddisk Key is
automatically built in which it contains only primary Key Properties. To enable
RKUB, you must use the registration and licensing system that sends the License
Key containing an encoded User ID to the end-user to activate the RKUB system.
1. Run ElecKey Integrator. The
wizard dialog box appears.
2. Click the Next button
to continue.
3. In the Select Integration
Task page, select the Protect Code and Enforce Licensing. Then,
click the Next button.
4. Follow the dialog boxes
until the Set Options page.
5. In the Set Options
page, click the Protection Options button. The Protection Options
dialog box appears.
6. In the Protection Options
dialog box, select either or both the Stand-Alone/Local or the Network
tabs (depending on the type of Key you use). Enable the Enable RKUB
checkbox, then specify the RKU file name into the provide field.
7. Follow the dialog boxes
until the Summary page.
8. In the Summary page,
click the Integrate button.
1. Run LicenseKey Manager.
2. From the Key Properties
pane, fill the Registration ID that you receive from the end-user in the Registration
ID field. Then, click the Check button.
3. In the Implementation
drop-down list, select RKUB.
4. Click the Advanced
tab.
5. In the Advanced tab,
enable the User Identification checkbox. Then, specify a User ID (1 -
2147483647) in the User ID field.
6. Click the Main tab.
7. In the Main tab,
click the Generate button. The License Key is shown in the License
Key field.
8. Send the License Key to the
end-user.
